  • When and Where is the Thrill The World - Clarkdale, AZ event?
    The 2024 Thrill The World - Clarkdale Event will be on October 26, 2024 across from Clarkdale Park, 1001 Main Street at exactly 3:00 PM. Dancers need to be here for check in and rehearsal by 2:30PM.
  • Is there a fee to dance in the Thrill The World - Clarkdale event?
    Participation in the Thriller Dance is FREE! We just ask that you consider donating either monetary contribution, pet food or supplies donations to the Verde Valley Humane Society.
  • What is the age group for dancing the Thriller Dance?
    All ages are welcome! Anyone under 17 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before participation in the workshops or dancing on "Thrill" day.
  • How can I learn the Thriller Dance?
    You can learn the Thriller Dance by visiting the International Thrill the World Website and watch & practice with the choreography videos https://thrilltheworld.com/choreography. There are 8 step-by-step videos. Be sure to download the Dance Script that lists the order of moves and the word descriptions. It's important SAY THE WORDS (i.e. "March right...March left..." as you practice. It will help you immensely in learning the moves! I also will be holding physical workshops for FREE at the Historical Downtown Park in Clarkdale in front of the gazebo on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM beginning on August 17, 2024. Workshop Schedule (Dates & times are subject to change, so check this website for updates!) It is preferable that you become familiar with the dance by watching the videos online first before attending the workshops. There will be a donation jar at every workshop - all donations will benefit the Verde Valley Humane Society.
  • Why is this dance not exactly like the Thriller video?
    Originally, the Thrill The World was started to break the Guinness World Record for the most people dancing the same choreography simultaneously. The rules required that the dance use the original song, dance for a minimum of 5 minutes, and must use the steps in the original choreography. Since the video only uses 2 minutes of the original Thriller single, the dance was reordered and many of the moves were repeated in order to fill the 5:57 single. All of the moves in the Thrill The World dance are in the Thriller music video. A few head moves were changed a little so that it would be easier for beginners to grasp the Thriller moves.
